FoR 284 Mission
Troop 284 has touched almost everyone in Radnor Township in one way or another over these many years.  Whether you have purchased a wreath from a young Scout or taken a walk on one of the dozens of trails our Eagle Scouts have built, Radnor residents have benefited from the troop and its Scouts for over 99 years.

Our Goal
Our aggregate goal is to raise $1 million. This allows for the purchase of the Cabin and surrounding acreage while allowing for a reserve to meet future maintenance and ongoing programming costs.

There are four distinct Phases to the fundraising plan:

I. Raise funds and acquire the property - COMPLETED

II.
Develop a plan for renovation, expansion and addressing deferred maintenance.  The goal being to improve the facility for expanded programming, while paying special attention to using low maintenance materials and design. - COMPLETED

III.
Raise funds to create and endowment that allows FOR284 to continue to oversee the property, and support Scouting in Radnor Township. - IN PROGRESS

IV.  Execute on our mission of supporting Scouting in Radnor Township.  This may include, but is not limited to, supporting those who could not otherwise afford a scout summer camp, supporting Eagle Projects, supporting the preservation of open space.

The Cabin
The Cabin
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The Boy Scouts of America provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For over a century, the Boy Scouts of America has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes and, through over a century of experience, knows that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Your financial support will allow us to carry on these great traditions for generations to come, on land preserved for their use for all time.  Troop 284 Leaders are proud of the fact that we average about four Eagle Scouts a year with over 175 in the recorded history.
